We became aware of our daughter's hearing loss shortly after her birth. After years of appointments and tests, it was time for her to be fitted with hearing aids in January of 2016. Fearful of how she may be looked at and teased by others, I searched my brain for ways to make her aids a fun experience.
She always loved my earrings, so I thought of getting her ears peirced. Seeing as she was only 3 at the time, I felt getting her ears pierced wasn't the right thing to do at the time. Then it hit me... what if I could hang something from her aids themselves?!
I fashioned a way to hang them safely from the tubing of her aids and "tada!" She loved them and so did the people in her audiologist office! She was so proud to show them off to strangers :-). I made a pair for another little girl my daughter's age and she loved them as well.
It was from there, I decided to do what I could to help make other girls proud to wear their aids, make it fun and to my be stop bullying.
I absolutely love make these and hearing how they make children happy. My success is measured in smiles, not dollars.♡♡♡
Please feel free to message me with special orders, and I will do my best to fill them. Also, I love hearing happy stories, so please message me those as well :-)
